Today I recorded this video to show you how easy it is to install
a WordPress blog. It’s easier watching then reading instructions,
isn’t it?!

So, I didn’t go into all the functionalities WordPress offers I
just want to help you get started.  I am not any “guru” in WordPress
but I just wanted to give you a few tips on how to personalize your
blog with themes and plugins.

WordPress Themes

You can download good themes for your blog here:

To install themes go to Appearance / Add New Themes in your dashboard
and click on “Upload”.

Plugins

Here are some of the plugins I use on my blog and recommend:

- All In One Seo Pack by Michael Torbert
- Google XML Site Maps by Arne Brachhold
- Google Analyticator by Spiral Web Consulting
- Sociable by Blogplay

Plugin is what allows you to optimize your blog for search engines and
add several features to make your blog more interactive and dynamic.

Installing plugins is not difficult but can be a little tricky if you
never worked with it and require some time to set all up. I recommend
that you go into plugins only after you’re already familiar with the
basic functionalities of WordPress such as adding posts, pages, links
and media files.
